The new "FU*K LIMITED" is available in both 24k gold and stainless steel, and launched in New York City on May 20th in conjunction with Design Week and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

Philip Wood, Co-Founder and Director of CITIZEN:Citizen joined forces with Ethan Imboden, Founder and Creative Director of Jimmyjane to cast a unique light on the role and relevance of design. Both studios are known for their provocative work - CITIZEN:Citizen redrawing the boundaries between art and design, and Jimmyjane re-envisioning our every day through a kaleidoscope of luxury and sexuality. Each designer, in his own way, seeks to chart under-explored territory.

The "FU*K LIMITED" design that resulted from Imboden & Wood's creative dialogue is a numbered edition of 500 vibrators in stainless steel, and 500 in 24k gold. Each vibrator is etched with the words "Fuck Design" in delicate cursive. According to the designers, the etched artwork can be interpreted as either derisive or celebratory - do the words "Fuck Design" denounce a creative discipline, or proclaim, in loving script, an object's reason for being?

"Discretion was an important aspect of the original design of the Little Something vibrator line, so the edginess of the products' intent is sublimated within. With this etching, we bring the provocation back to the surface and confront the audience with the meaning and context of the object," offers Imboden.
