High-end bedroom-accessories line Jimmyjane, a collection of precious metal vibrators and boudoir accoutrements that manages to be sexy without being skeevy.

Who he is:
While researching a sex-toy project four years ago, 34 year-old Imboden became aware of the dearth of elegant pleasure tools during his informal dinner party polling. Prompted by complaints about crude and cheaply made vibrators, the San Francisco-based industrial designer -- who's done work for Nike, Motorola and Herman Miller -- launched Jimmyjane last spring for those seeking alternatives to vulgar neon dildos shaped like severed body parts.

What he makes:
Haute instruments of arousal, such as the sleek LITTLE SOMETHING vibrator, which is available in medical-grade steel and engravable 24-karat gold or platinum ($195 - $475 at Catriona MacKechnie).
