Movember is a global men’s health charity where men grow and women support moustaches during the month of November. As the website states, “Movember is about bringing back the moustache (Mo), having fun, creating conversation and awareness, and raising funs for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.”
Jimmyjane Supports Movember
Many of our customers have reached out to us asking about sex after prostate cancer. We support Movember as a way to bring awareness to this topic. Every year, more than 230,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. After surgery, nearly all men experience difficulty getting an erection for a period of time. The nerves responsible for erection travel very close to the prostate gland and may be injured during removal of the prostate. Recovery often takes about 18-24 months or more and depends on age, erectile function prior to surgery, and the type of surgery had.Read More

A study published just last week in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, surveyed about 1,500 adults on their sexual fantasies. The study has received tons of mainstream press, because the reality is, we all have sexual fantasies. With the recent Fifty Shades of Grey ‘craze’ many of us assume that fantasies look like whips, handcuffs and ‘sex rooms, however, this study found that the top sexual fantasies are actually not as scandalous as some may think. Out of the 1,500 adult men and women who were surveyed 92.2% of women and 88.3% of men ranked “feeling romantic emotions during a sexual relationship,” as their number one sexual fantasy.
Here are the top 10 sexual fantasies for both men and women...Read More
Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Perfect Body’ campaign has stirred much controversy and debate in recent press. The new campaign features an image of ten Victoria’s Secret models in lingerie with the words “The Perfect ‘Body’” inscribed across the models’ so-called “perfect” bodies.
The campaign has received quite a bit of backlash, and rightfully so, as it promotes unrealistic body expectations and beauty standards. The Underwear company Dear Kate responded to the advertisement by creating their own alternative to the Perfect Body ad, and asked people to tweet the hashtag #iamperfect to @VictoriasSecret in protest and to raise awareness about the controversial advertisement. As the Dear Kate website reads, “As if women need a reminder of our society’s homogenous definition of beauty, the ad features ten models with almost identical body shapes. The creators of the ad probably didn’t think twice about the message it is sending, and to us, it’s irresponsible marketing.” Although Victoria’s Secret has yet to respond the Dear Kate, more than 16,000 people have signed a U.K petition asking Victoria’s Secret to apologize for an “irresponsible,” “body-shaming’ ad.Read More
In honor of National Cat Day, it is only fitting to talk about pussies!
Personally, I cringe every time I hear someone refer to a vulva or vagina as a “pussy.” To me, it seems degrading, especially since the word is oftentimes used when referring to someone as a coward, for example, “Quite being such a pussy dude.” However, there are many people who do enjoy referring to their vulvas and vaginas as pussies and say that the word is empowering and even sexy. Regardless of how you personally feel, in honor of National Cat Day, I decided to do some research on the word “pussy” and its euphemism for a vagina.
During 19th century America, a number of euphemisms were devised in order to avoid discussing sex and sexuality in public. Just as ass became donkey and cock became rooster, vagina became “pussy.” The term “pussy” came to refer to anything soft or furry such as a pussycat or those soft pussy willow plants. Since women’s vulva are typically soft and furry the term spread and stuck.
To be honest, I grew up with dogs and was never really a cat person, but in doing some research I have gained a new found appreciation for cats and more importantly am beginning to understand just how similar cats and vaginas may actually be:Read More

First off, what are phthalates? Phthalates are chemicals that soften plastic. At Jimmyjane we make sure and guarantee that our products do not contain any phthalates. Why? Because phthalates have been shown to cause cancer and have been banned from many products such as baby toys, shower curtains and rubber ducks!
How would you know if a product might have phthalates? Before you purchase your vibrator or any other sex toy for that matter, although this may sound a bit strange, smell it first. If the product smells like a rubber tier… RED FLAG, ITS PHTHALATES.Read More
